The Secret Formula for studying

Whether it was an AP class, a simples quiz, or a huge test we have all done badly in school at least once in our lives, but what if I said there was a way to never fail a test ever again. The formula is simple: learn, grow, and practice. By doing these 3 things, you are guaranteed to grow a strong knowledge of that subject and pass every test you take.

The first step in this formula is to learn. This is simple since you do this automatically but anyone can mess up the first step easily. To fully learn you have to pay attention and stay focused. A lot of people mess up the first step because they let themselves get distracted by other things easily. Listen to the teacher. Don't just do the work to get it done; take your time and absorb the information. By missing this step, students are losing the basic structure needed to master the subject. You can't build a skyscraper without a strong sturdy base to ensure you succeed. Another reason students miss this step is a lack of interest. When students don't show interest in the subject they don't absorb the information and they disregard the information which is given either by a teacher, book, or online resource. The first part is easy because it could be as simples as looking at your notes and learning them or even looking at flashcards. By not missing the first step, students have a higher probability of getting a grade they want. By working hard on the first step, you are limiting the amount of work needed in the second part which is to grow your knowledge.

Growing knowledge means going beyond the basics. This means using other resources outside of school. For example, let's say a student was learning about writing equations. If the student wanted to grow his knowledge he would search up why we need to write equations, the meanings of the equation, easier ways to solve the problem, new ways to solve the problem, etc. By doing so, the student is growing his knowledge on that topic deeper than most of his peers. The internet is a vast space of resources, documents, videos, websites, and much more. Search videos, search up experiments, and evidence. By searching up videos and new resources, you are able to get new perspectives outside of what you are learning at school. This will allow students to prepare themselves for anything that might come on the test. Higher knowledge means more understanding. The more you learn the "why" the more you learn the "how". The internet gives tons of free resources the student can use like documents and videos. The internet also has tons of ways to practice which is the third and final step to complete the formula.

By practicing the topic you are making the strands of knowledge even stronger until they are unbreakable. Do study guides, practice questions from homework, search up online quizzes. The number of ways to practice are endless. Maybe you can use flashcards to memorize vocabulary. By practicing in many ways you are getting prepared for a variety of different questions that might appear on the test. You can even find full-length practice tests. By searching "9th-grade trigonometry test" you will be given hundreds to thousands of tests with questions on that subject; some of which might even appear on the test. Practice doesn't just mean repetition; it also means trying harder questions and learning how to solve them easier and more efficiently with the least amount of errors. instead of practicing easier questions, you should be practicing harder questions which will make easier questions even easier. This will also allow you to be prepared for those couple of tricky questions to throw you off and waste time. Instead of getting stuck on those harder questions, you will already be able to solve those questions since you have seen and practiced those harder questions.

By doing this method I was able to get a course average of 94% or higher in all my classes and I'm sure it will help you too. If you can do these 3 steps two weeks before the test then you are golden. This method allows students to efficiently use their resources and get perfect grades in all their classes. By using the simple 3 method formula: learn, grow, and practice, you are sure to see improvements in your grades as long as you are willing to put in the work and use this method of studying.
